Litigation Legal Assistant

The candidate will assist attorney(s) draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and other litigation documents and E-File them with the appropriate court, and send to O. C. Schedule depositions, mediations, trials, and client meetings. Answer multi-line phones in a professional manner, scan, copy, fax, documents, email updates etc.. Make sure all deadlines and reminders are calendared. Perform legal and investigative research. Draft WILLS/POA, Probate Petitions, etc.. Translate for clients that are Spanish speaking. Meet with clients regarding case discovery etc., send correspondence to communicate with clients on case status, discovery preparation, trial preparation, and other matters. Organize and maintain case files and pleadings notebooks electronic and physical. Prepare and organize exhibits, documents, evidence, and other materials for trial. Request medical records affidavits and other documents in preparation for trial. Communicate and coordinate with opposing counsel, process servers, courts, witnesses, and other parties. Should have 2+ years of experience in a litigation personal injury law office setting. Spanish skills are required.
