A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join their team remotely in Texas, United States. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse caseload of personal injury cases, from initial intake through trial, in a collaborative and client-focused environment.

Duties

• Handle personal injury cases from intake to resolution, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis.
• Prepare and attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
• Develop case strategies and represent clients in negotiations and settlements.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, keeping them updated on case developments.
• Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to efficiently manage caseloads.
• Participate in case strategy meetings and contribute innovative ideas for problem-solving.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
• 1-3 years of experience in personal injury law (trial experience a plus, but not required).
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Excellent problem-solving ability and critical thinking.
• Comfort and confidence in litigating cases, including taking cases to trial.
• Ability to work independently and remotely, with strong time management and organizational skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a client-first attitude.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the state bar and in good standing.

Skills

• Prior experience handling personal injury cases.
• Trial experience (even limited) or a strong desire to take cases to trial.
• Proficiency with legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) and case management software.
• Ability to work remotely and manage your workload effectively.
