A leading law firm is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate with 4–7 years of experience to join its litigation team in Houston. This role focuses on representing businesses and business owners in a variety of commercial disputes, including breach of contract, business torts, and restrictive covenant litigation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on trial experience and be ready to contribute to all phases of litigation in a fast-paced, high-quality legal environment.

Represent clients in commercial and business litigation matters, including contract disputes, business divorces, and unfair competition claims
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery documents
Conduct and defend depositions
Develop litigation strategy and collaborate with senior attorneys and clients
Manage pretrial and post-verdict motion practice
Participate in settlement negotiations, hearings, and trials
Provide timely and strategic legal counsel throughout the litigation process
Contribute to case evaluation, risk assessment, and client communication
4–7 years of commercial litigation experience
Experience in a range of business disputes, including construction claims, mechanics’ liens, and restrictive covenants
Substantive trial experience strongly preferred
Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently
Legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
Admission to the Texas Bar required
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school
Active member of the Texas State Bar
Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
Strong deposition and motion practice experience
Strategic thinker with attention to detail
Effective communication and collaboration with clients and legal teams
Ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines
Strong organizational and time-management capabilities
