A law firm seeks an experienced Insurance Defense Litigation Associate Attorney in Dayton, OH. This role offers the opportunity to manage an active caseload of defense client files, including premises liability, auto/trucking, construction, fire, subrogation, and coverage cases.

Duties

• Handle an active book of existing defense client files.
• Conduct depositions, written discovery, and dispositive motions.
• Participate in mediations and trials with partner support.
• Collaborate directly with the originating partner on every file.

Requirements

• 5-12 years of Ohio civil or criminal litigation experience.
• Proven experience in depositions, motion practice, and trials.
• Ability to manage a high-volume docket independently.
• Ohio bar membership in good standing.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Ohio.

Skills

• Strong litigation and trial advocacy skills.
• Excellent risk management and evidence analysis abilities.
• Effective negotiation and strategic litigation skills.
