Job Overview:
A leading law firm is seeking an Associate with 3-6 years of experience in Intellectual Property (IP) and technology transactions to join its Silicon Valley office. The role involves working on a broad range of technology, life sciences, and digital innovation transactions across various industries, including cross-border matters and corporate transactions. The successful candidate will draft agreements, provide strategic advice, interact directly with clients, and mentor junior team members. This position offers the opportunity to work with a highly regarded team on complex and innovative matters in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Location:

Duties:

• Work closely with Partners and Associates on technology, life sciences, and digital innovation transactions.

• Provide support on IP and technology aspects of corporate transactions, including commercial arrangements.

• Draft and negotiate agreements related to IP and technology matters.

• Offer strategic legal advice to clients across various industries.

• Handle cross-border transactions and provide counsel on international issues related to IP and technology.

• Mentor and guide junior lawyers within the team.

• Interact directly with clients, building strong professional relationships and understanding their business needs.

Requirements:

• 3-6 years of experience in IP and technology transactions, with a focus on technology and/or life sciences.

• Strong background in handling technology, digital innovation, and commercial arrangements.

• Experience in cross-border transactions is highly desirable.

• Ability to draft and negotiate complex agreements effectively.

• Strong client-facing skills with a focus on delivering high-quality service.

• Collaborative mindset with a willingness to mentor junior associates.

Education:

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the bar in California (or eligibility to waive in).

Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of IP and technology transactions, including life sciences and digital innovation.

• Strong drafting, negotiation, and advisory skills.

• Experience with cross-border transactions and corporate IP matters.

• Excellent communication and client management abilities.

• Strong team collaboration skills and the ability to mentor junior lawyers.
