The role focuses on protecting and enforcing secured-creditor rights in Chapters 7, 13, and 11, providing comprehensive legal strategies throughout the bankruptcy case lifecycle.

Duties

• Represent creditors in bankruptcy proceedings, including proof of claim and motions for relief from stay.
• Advise clients on complex bankruptcy, servicing, and investor-guideline issues.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and minimize financial risk while maximizing recoveries.
• Attend hearings and mediations throughout Texas.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience as an attorney in bankruptcy, with at least 1 year representing creditors in Texas Bankruptcy Courts.
• Active member in good standing of the Bar.
• Strong communication and writing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and rules.

Education

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
