A law firm based in New York City, NY, is seeking a Corporate Real Estate Associate with 4 to 6 years of sophisticated transactional experience. This role is ideal for professionals with a background in real estate joint ventures, though individuals with exposure to private M&A or private investment fund transactions may also be considered. The position requires a strategic thinker with strong drafting skills and the ability to handle complex deal structures in a fast-paced legal environment.

Duties:

• Draft and negotiate joint venture agreements, purchase and sale agreements, and financing documents

• Provide legal advice and support for private equity and real estate transactions

• Manage deal execution and client communication for complex transactions

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including tax, finance, and regulatory counsel

• Conduct due diligence and risk assessments related to corporate real estate matters

• Assist with structuring transactions to ensure legal and business objectives are met

Requirements:

• 4-6 years of hands-on transactional experience at a law firm

• Experience in real estate joint ventures preferred; private M&A or fund experience considered

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously under tight deadlines

• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and business judgment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar (active and in good standing)

Skills:

• Advanced contract drafting and negotiation

• Strong organizational and project management capabilities

• Proficient in managing cross-border or multi-party transactions

• Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
