A law firm seeks a highly qualified and motivated associate to join its Private Equity M&A practice in St. Louis, Missouri. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in business and transactional law, focusing on mergers and acquisitions for private equity sponsors and complex corporate transactions.

Duties

• Draft and negotiate definitive and ancillary transaction documents.
• Support acquisitions, divestitures, and add-on transactions.
• Manage all phases of the deal lifecycle from structuring to post-transaction.
• Collaborate with deal teams and clients, including private equity funds and management teams.
• Address governance, financing, and operational considerations in strategic transactions.

Requirements

• 3 to 7 years of sophisticated business and transactional experience.
• Strong focus on middle-market mergers and acquisitions.
• Ability to navigate complex subject matter quickly and effectively.
• Ambition, drive, and team-orientation to support national practice growth.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admission to the Missouri Bar.
