Location:

• Huntington Park, California

Duties:

• Manage a caseload of Immigration Court and USCIS matters from intake through resolution

• Represent clients in master calendar and merits hearings

• Attend USCIS interviews and ensure clients are thoroughly prepared

• Conduct legal research and provide legal advice related to immigration, naturalization, and citizenship

• Draft legal documents including motions to reopen, appeals (AAO, EOIR, BIA), and I-601A and inadmissibility waivers

• Monitor changes in immigration law and update clients and staff accordingly

• Maintain detailed client records and meet deadlines

• Collaborate with support staff and provide leadership to junior attorneys if applicable

• Offer strategic legal solutions in complex immigration matters

• Optional: assist in criminal defense matters when applicable

Requirements:

• 2–5 years of experience practicing immigration law

• Experience representing clients in both Immigration Court and before USCIS

• Ability to manage a diverse and active caseload

• Must have access to a reliable vehicle and be able to travel locally

• Ability to work independently and under pressure

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admitted and in good standing with the California State Bar

Skills:

• Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken)

• Excellent legal research and writing skills

• Strong verbal advocacy and courtroom presence

• Experience drafting appeals and waivers

• Proficient in legal databases and case management software

• High attention to detail with strong organizational skills

• Positive, reliable, and client-focused mindset

• Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for community-centered legal work
