Job Overview

An esteemed law firm is currently seeking junior to midlevel associates with 1–5 years of experience to join its Intellectual Property Disputes practice. The ideal candidate will have prior experience at a large law firm and a technical background in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-profile and complex IP litigation matters across multiple major U.S. offices.

Location

• Washington, D.C.

Duties

• Handle a range of intellectual property disputes, including patent litigation

• Draft pleadings, discovery materials, motions, and other court filings

• Conduct legal research and analyze complex technical and legal issues

• Participate in depositions, hearings, and trial preparations

• Collaborate with attorneys, experts, and clients to develop case strategies

• Provide ongoing support through all phases of litigation

Requirements

• 1–5 years of experience practicing law, preferably in a large law firm environment

• Significant exposure to intellectual property disputes, especially in patent law

• Admission to the state bar in the jurisdiction of the office applied for

• Strong interpersonal, project management, and teamwork abilities

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-office environment

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications

• Active and in-good-standing bar membership for the relevant state office
