Duties:

  • Conduct thorough legal research using tools like Lexis-Nexis to support case development
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings and discovery
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and trial preparation
  • Question witnesses at trial and potentially serve as lead counsel in trials for assigned cases
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel to ensure smooth case progression

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the state bar or eligibility for admission
  • Strong legal research skills, with experience using Lexis-Nexis
  • Familiarity with personal injury causes of action and Texas Rules of Civil Procedure
  • Excellent legal drafting abilities and attention to detail
  • Prior experience in personal injury litigation is preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • 1-5 years of experience as an attorney

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
