Job Title: Tax Attorney

Job Overview:
A well-established law firm based in Philadelphia, PA, is seeking an experienced Tax Attorney to join their team. The role will involve working closely with the firm's business law practice, focusing primarily on general business and transactional tax matters. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in tax law and will be responsible for advising clients on a variety of tax-related issues.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel on general business and transactional tax issues.

• Advise clients on tax strategies and compliance matters, with an emphasis on business law.

• Counsel tax-exempt organizations and provide expertise on nonprofit tax issues (preferred).

• Work closely with other attorneys in the business law practice group.

• Assist clients in navigating complex tax regulations and disputes.

• Support the growth of the firm's tax practice by leveraging a solid network and business acumen.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 years of general tax law experience.

• Strong expertise in business and transactional tax matters.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

• Active Pennsylvania bar license required.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• LLM in Taxation is preferred

Skills:

• Expertise in general business tax law and transactional tax issues.

• Knowledge of tax-exempt organizations and nonprofit tax law is a plus.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent client management and communication skills.
