Job Overview:
A well-established law firm is seeking a Tax/Corporate Associate with 5-8 years of experience to join its Tax and Corporate practice group. The ideal candidate will have experience in tax research, planning, and drafting within a law firm setting, with a focus on corporate tax matters.

Location:

• Conshohocken, PA

Duties:

• Handle corporate tax matters including formation, acquisitions, dispositions, mergers, reorganizations, and business entity financing.

• Conduct research and analyze complex tax issues related to both individual and corporate clients.

• Advise clients on the tax treatment and planning for incentive compensation for key employees.

• Assist with tax controversy matters and provide solutions for clients.

• Draft tax-related documents and provide legal advice in a collaborative environment.

Requirements:

• 5-8 years of direct experience in tax law, particularly corporate tax matters.

• Experience with tax planning and drafting for corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.

• Expertise in analyzing and addressing complex tax issues for both individuals and corporations.

• Experience with tax treatment and planning for incentive compensation for employees.

• Tax controversy experience is preferred.

• Excellent academic credentials and strong organizational skills.

• Strong written and oral communication skills.

• LLM in Taxation or pending preferred.

• NJ and PA Bar admissions required.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

• LLM in Taxation preferred (or pending).

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of corporate tax law and related legal matters.

• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.

• Ability to manage complex legal issues independently.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
