A prominent civil litigation law firm is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney to join its General Liability and Trucking/Transportation practice group. Duties

• Conduct file reviews and legal analyses of claims and causes of action.

• Perform extensive legal research and draft substantial briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs.

• Represent clients in court proceedings, arbitrations, and depositions.

• Draft and respond to discovery requests.

• Manage expert witness retention and collaboration.

• Prepare for and attend trials.

• Maintain an annual billable hour requirement of 1,950 hours.

• Occasional travel may be required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in General Liability, Trucking, and/or Transportation litigation.

• Ability to manage a litigation caseload independently.

• Strong work ethic with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

• Prompt responsiveness to emails and phone inquiries.

• Excellent client management skills and professional telephone demeanor.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to practice law in the State of Illinois.

• Additional state admissions are a plus but not required.
