This role requires expertise in handling complex litigation cases, including general liability, product liability, and commercial automobile claims. The position offers the flexibility of a hybrid remote work environment while ensuring courtroom and deposition appearances as necessary.

Duties:

• Represent clients in court proceedings, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations.

• Manage personal injury defense cases, including third-party general liability and product liability matters.

• Develop legal strategies and oversee case progress from inception to resolution.

• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.

• Collaborate with internal teams, including paralegals and legal assistants, to ensure case efficiency.

• Utilize advanced legal technology and cloud-based systems for case management.

• Participate in settlement negotiations and provide expert legal counsel to clients.

• Ensure compliance with all legal and ethical standards in litigation proceedings.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in personal injury defense litigation.

• Proven first-chair trial experience.

• Strong background in defending general liability, product liability, and commercial automobile claims.

• Experience with toxic tort or construction defect claims is a plus.

• Ability to manage a caseload independently in a remote setting while attending in-person court appearances as needed.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in California.

Skills:
