Commercial / Real Estate Paralegal - Hybrid
The candidate will independently answer clients’ legal questions and solve clients’ moderately complex legal issues on commercial and real estate matters with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate personnel. Independently draft, review, revise and negotiate legal documents, including commercial contracts, purchase/sale agreements, ancillary agreements, easements, access/indemnity agreements, options, leases, lease amendments, estoppel certificates, and subordination, non-disturbance and attornment agreements. Regularly participate in negotiations with key stakeholders regarding commercial and real estate matters. Facilitate contract management and general legal files organization. Communicate with clients and key stakeholders regarding legal issues related to commercial and real estate matters. Review, revise (as applicable) and analyze surveys, legal descriptions, and title evidence and resolve title and survey issues. Create and maintain checklists, draft and negotiate closing documents, manage real estate transaction processes and communicate deadlines. Other duties as assigned. Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Minimum of two years of related work experience. Other minimum qualifications may apply. Paralegal certificate or comparable legal education from an accredited institution, 5+ years of commercial and/or real estate paralegal experience. In-house experience, or experience working closely with in-house counsel. Experience involving document management, analyzing and reviewing legal and commercial documents, and strong transaction execution skills. Some exposure to litigation or experience advising clients on litigation avoidance. Experience recognizing risks, developing solutions and counseling clients toward those solutions. Strong business/customer service orientation, willingness to assist in areas outside specialty focused areas. Proficiency with computer systems and software, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
