Commercial Counsel
The candidate will report to the Senior Director - Commercial Legal. Will be primary support for newly acquired connected product suite of companies and assets. Support heavily on technology contracting, both for company's product offerings, and with third parties to support company's product offerings. Provide support on contract automation implementation and training, data privacy initiatives, customization of Business Associate Agreements etc., US customer contract review and RFP support, review and customization of contract templates for Procurement, Operations and other teams as required and support the US Legal Team in providing legal support for legal strategy, key projects and initiatives as directed by the Global Commercial Legal team. Work alongside others in the in-house team including the support of paralegal team. Responsible for contract management and ensuring consistent use of template agreements within the Procurement and Operations teams (based in the US and GBS centres). Provide support on implementation of contract automation platform, templates and questionnaires within contract automation system. Also provide support on Data Privacy initiatives, customisation of Business Associate Agreements etc. Support US Legal team in delivering the Legal training programme. Handle other work as assigned by Global Commercial Legal Team. Should have a J.D. degree from a reputable and licensed law school. Must have 4+ years of relevant experience in commercial and corporate practice areas in a law firm/in house-counsel. Life sciences experience would be preferred. A keen interest in and ability to understand the business, its strategies, its people and its organisational structures is an asset.
