A well-regarded law firm based in Summerville, SC, seeks a Real Estate Closing Attorney to support residential and commercial property transactions. This role involves directly engaging clients, lenders, and agents to ensure smooth closings while maintaining legal and procedural compliance. The position is ideal for a South Carolina-licensed attorney with strong interpersonal skills and an interest in real estate law. Prior experience in real estate closings is preferred, but comprehensive training is available for motivated candidates.

Duties:

• Facilitate closings for residential and commercial real estate sales and refinances

• Examine property titles to identify potential legal issues

• Collaborate with stakeholders, including lenders, real estate agents, buyers, and sellers

• Draft or review contracts, deeds, leases, purchase and sale agreements, and loan documents

• Provide clients with a professional and informative closing experience

• Finalize disbursement ledgers and execute check signing

• Represent the firm in building and maintaining client and community relationships

• Lead client-focused training sessions on real estate legal matters

Requirements:

• Admission to the South Carolina Bar in good standing

• Prior experience in residential closings is advantageous, though not mandatory

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to work independently and thrive in a client-facing environment

• Eagerness to grow professionally in a real estate-focused legal practice

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:
