Full job description

Experienced Family Law Attorney Join One of Florida's Fastest Growing Law Firms

Salary: $120,000 to $160,000 per year + Performance Bonuses

Location: Fleming Island, Florida

Maybe Now Is the Right Time for a Fresh Start.

The legal profession asks a lot of attorneys.

Long hours.

Emotionally difficult cases.

Clients depending on you during some of the hardest moments of their lives.

You accept those challenges because that's what you signed up for.

What you shouldn't have to accept is working somewhere that makes you dread Monday morning.

If you've found yourself wondering whether there's a better place to practice law, we'd like to introduce ourselves.

At Cooper & Cooper, P.A., we're building a firm where great attorneys can do great work without sacrificing professionalism, collaboration, or respect.

In just over a year, we've grown into a seven figure law firm, and we're just getting started. We've invested heavily in our people, our technology, our systems, and our culture because we believe exceptional attorneys deserve an exceptional place to build their careers.

We believe attorneys perform at their highest level when they have outstanding support, modern systems, clear leadership, and teammates who genuinely want each other to succeed.

That's the kind of firm we're building.

More Than Just Another Law Firm

We're intentional about who we hire because culture matters.

Questions are encouraged.

Ideas are welcomed.

Success is celebrated.

When one person wins, the entire team wins.

If you've been looking for a place where you can build a long term career instead of simply working another job, keep reading.

The Opportunity

You'll represent clients in a broad range of family law matters, including:

  • Divorce
  • Child Custody and Timesharing
  • Child Support
  • Paternity
  • Alimony
  • Modifications
  • Enforcement Actions
  • Domestic Violence Injunctions

You'll have experienced legal assistants, skilled paralegals, efficient systems, modern technology, and leadership that believes removing obstacles is just as important as setting expectations.

Our goal is simple.

We want our attorneys spending their time practicing law, not fighting unnecessary internal battles.

Who Thrives Here

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Licensed to practice law in Florida
  • Professional and compassionate
  • Confident in the courtroom
  • Comfortable taking ownership
  • A strong communicator
  • Collaborative
  • Growth minded
  • Committed to providing exceptional client service

Family law experience is preferred, but we also welcome experienced litigators who are ready to transition into family law.

Compensation & Benefits

We believe exceptional attorneys should be exceptionally compensated.

We offer:

  • Salary of $120,000 to $160,000 based on experience
  • Performance bonuses
  • Health insurance
  • Dental insurance
  • Vision insurance
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Paid holidays
  • Paid time off
  • Continuing legal education and professional development
  • Modern technology and software
  • An experienced support team
  • Opportunities to grow as the firm continues to expand

A Note From Our Managing Partner

My wife, Charlean, and I started Cooper & Cooper because we believed attorneys deserve a place where excellence, integrity, and respect aren't just words on a website.

In just over a year, we've grown Cooper & Cooper into a seven figure law firm by focusing on one simple principle: take exceptional care of our clients and build an exceptional team.

While I'm proud of what we've accomplished, I believe we're only getting started.

Our vision is to build one of Florida's premier family law firms and, more importantly, a firm where exceptional attorneys can build meaningful, long term careers.

That kind of growth doesn't happen by accident. It happens by surrounding ourselves with talented people who care deeply about their clients, take pride in their work, and want to be part of something bigger than themselves.

If you're looking for a place where your work matters, your voice is heard, and your career can grow alongside a firm with ambitious goals, I'd welcome the opportunity to speak with you.

Every application and conversation will be handled with complete confidentiality.

We hope to meet you.
