Job Overview: A well-established law firm located in White Plains, NY, specializing in civil and criminal litigation, is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced attorney. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of legal experience and will be responsible for handling discovery responses, court appearances, depositions, drafting motions and briefs, as well as assisting with trials. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement and requires travel to court appearances in the Hudson Valley and NY Metropolitan areas.

Duties:

• Coordinate and manage discovery responses
• Represent clients in court appearances and depositions
• Draft and review legal documents such as motions, briefs, and pleadings
• Assist senior attorneys during trial preparation and trial proceedings
• Communicate with clients and provide legal advice
• Maintain up-to-date case files and legal research
• Travel to court appearances as needed in the Hudson Valley and NY Metropolitan areas

Requirements:

• A valid New York Bar license
• 3-5 years of legal experience, particularly in civil and criminal litigation
• Strong writing and research skills
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Ability to handle a high caseload and work independently
• Willingness to travel for court appearances

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admitted to practice law in New York (Required)

Skills:

• Exceptional writing and legal research capabilities
• Strong oral advocacy and court appearance skills
• Proficient in case management and legal document drafting
• Ability to effectively manage multiple cases and deadlines
