A law firm seeks a Matrimonial and Family Law Attorney in White Plains, NY. The firm is expanding its Matrimonial Department and is looking for an Associate Attorney with 7-10 years of experience. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with strong organizational skills and a commitment to providing quality legal counsel.

Duties

• Prepare pleadings, motions, depositions, and briefs.
• Appear in various courts throughout the tri-state area.
• Direct cases through the litigation cycle and develop litigation strategies.
• Manage a large volume of cases and attend court as necessary.
• Organize and track case status and manage attorney court appearances.
• Represent clients in divorce, custody, child support, and other family matters.

Requirements

• 7-10 years of experience in matrimonial and family law.
• Knowledge of Supreme Court and Family Court procedures.
• Experience in a family/divorce clinic or clerkship with judges is beneficial.

Education

• Juris Doctor degree (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• NY Bar admittance required.
