Job Overview: A prominent law firm is seeking a skilled Technical Advisor to join their Patent Prosecution and Litigation Practice Group, specializing in Electrical Engineering & Software. This role is ideal for candidates with a background in electrical engineering, computer science, or a similar technical field, and offers the opportunity to work on a dynamic team in the rapidly evolving areas of patent law. The position does not require prior intellectual property experience.

Duties:

• Support attorneys in patent prosecution and litigation matters, primarily in electrical engineering and software-related technologies.
• Analyze and assess technical aspects of inventions, patents, and associated legal documentation.
• Draft technical reports, patent filings, and related correspondence.
• Collaborate with legal teams to develop strategies for patent portfolios and litigation matters.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to clients and legal professionals.
• Stay informed about developments in wireless communication, including 5G, 6G, and 3GPP standards (experience in this area is a plus).

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• No prior intellectual property experience is required, though experience in wireless communication technologies is beneficial.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
