A nationally recognized litigation firm is seeking a skilled Toxic Tort Associate Attorney to join its San Francisco-based practice. This role offers an exciting opportunity to represent sophisticated clients in complex toxic tort litigation, including matters related to asbestos, talc, silicosis, and similar exposures. Ideal for attorneys with 2+ years of experience in this space, this role offers flexible hybrid or fully remote work arrangements for California-based candidates.

Location

Duties

• Draft legal pleadings, motions, discovery responses, briefs, and memoranda

• Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, mediations, and settlement discussions

• Manage a litigation caseload with support from senior attorneys

• Conduct fact investigation, case strategy development, and legal analysis

• Communicate with clients to provide case updates and risk assessments

• Collaborate across internal teams and practice areas

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of litigation experience in toxic tort or related practice areas

• Background in asbestos, talc, silicosis, benzene, diacetyl, or similar toxic tort claims preferred

• Prior experience drafting discovery and pretrial motions required

• Experience in depositions and courtroom proceedings strongly preferred

• Trial experience, including second-chair, is a plus

• Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines, prioritize work, and work independently

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the State of California

• Member in good standing with the California State Bar
