A leading litigation-focused law firm is seeking a California-licensed Associate Attorney to join its San Francisco office. This position offers early and extensive exposure to all stages of trial work, from pre-trial preparation through post-trial strategy, under the guidance of experienced litigators. Location:

• San Francisco, California

Duties:

• Manage a caseload of litigated defense claims in areas including product liability, toxic torts, and general torts

• Participate in full-cycle litigation, including strategy development and trial preparation

• Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda, pleadings, and motions

• Take and defend depositions

• Represent clients at court hearings and argue motions

• Conduct client interviews and manage witness preparation

• Maintain proactive communication with clients throughout litigation

• Contribute to case evaluations, settlements, and trial preparation planning

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in the state of California

• Litigation experience preferred (newer attorneys with strong credentials considered)

• Demonstrated ability to manage discovery, legal writing, and client communications

• Strong desire to grow within a trial-focused practice

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

• Admitted to and in good standing with the California State Bar

Skills:

• Excellent analytical, critical reasoning, and problem-solving skills

• Strong legal research and persuasive writing abilities

• Client-focused approach with professional communication

• Confidence in oral advocacy and courtroom settings
