Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Employment Litigation Associate to join its Omaha, NE office. The successful candidate will represent employers in various labor and employment matters, providing strategic advice and litigation support to ensure compliance and resolve disputes effectively.

Duties

• Represent employers on labor issues, including elections, arbitrations, grievances, and negotiations.
• Defend and litigate lawsuits involving employment-related claims and discrimination charges.
• Advise, counsel, and train employers on employment and labor law issues.
• Represent employers in court, before agencies, at mediations, and in arbitration on employment matters.
• Prosecute and defend noncompete cases and provide related advice to employers.

Requirements

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
• 2+ years of experience in labor, immigration, or employment law preferred.
• Current Nebraska, Iowa, or South Dakota Bar admission in good standing.
• Understanding of current state and federal agency procedures.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in Nebraska, Iowa, or South Dakota.
