A law firm seeks a proactive and highly skilled Senior Transportation Litigation Attorney in New York, New York. The ideal candidate will manage litigation matters within the transportation sector, providing sound counsel to clients and working on challenging cases with talented colleagues nationwide.

Duties

• Manage a litigation caseload from inception to resolution.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on transportation laws and regulations.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations.
• Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients.
• Collaborate with colleagues across departments and offices.
• Draft case analysis reports for client stakeholders.

Requirements

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in the state of New York.
• 8+ years of general casualty litigation experience.
• First and/or second chair experience strongly desired.
• Trial experience required.
• Experience in transportation and logistics preferred.
• Experience with e-commerce/gig economy legal issues preferred.
• Deposition and motion practice experience required.

Education

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice in the state of New York.
