A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience to join their team in Las Vegas, NV. The ideal candidate will have recent business litigation experience, preferably with a focus on construction defect, and will be organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing a varied caseload efficiently.

Duties

• Conduct legal research and produce detailed memoranda.
• Communicate directly with clients to provide legal advice.
• Draft pleadings, including filings, motions, and discovery documents.
• Conduct depositions and engage in fact-finding activities.
• Attend court hearings, ADR sessions, and client meetings.
• Represent clients in mediations and settlement conferences.
• Assist in trial preparation and serve as trial counsel.
• Negotiate case settlements and resolutions.
• Ensure compliance with Nevada statutes and case law.
• Perform administrative functions related to caseload management.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice law; California license preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in a law firm setting.
• Experience with eDiscovery platforms and legal software preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills for diverse interactions.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Bar license in Nevada; California preferred.

Skills
