Duties:

• Represent clients in a variety of employment-related litigation matters, including wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and more.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other necessary legal documents.
• Take and defend depositions, handle court hearings, and engage in settlement negotiations.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategy and assist in trial preparation.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, ensuring they are well informed and involved throughout the legal process.
• Stay up-to-date on legal trends and changes in employment and civil litigation law.
• Provide expert legal counsel on employment law issues.
• Represent clients in court, including trial preparation, courtroom appearances, and jury or bench trials.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in civil litigation with a focus on employment law.
• Proven experience handling all phases of litigation from case inception to resolution.
• Strong skills in drafting legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery.
• Experience with depositions, court hearings, and settlement negotiations.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and clients effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active State Bar membership in California.

Skills:

• Expertise in employment law matters, including wage and hour disputes, wrongful termination, discrimination, and harassment.
• Strong litigation experience in both plaintiff and defendant cases.
