Job Overview:

A reputable Chicago-based defense firm is actively seeking a Litigation Attorney with 3–6 years of experience in civil litigation. Ideal candidates will have an emphasis in toxic tort and/or professional liability defense, and must demonstrate strong legal writing and analytical skills. Location:

• Chicago, Illinois

Duties:

• Manage and defend civil litigation matters, including toxic tort and professional liability cases

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda

• Conduct depositions and appear in court for hearings and trials

• Collaborate with partners and clients on litigation strategy

• Analyze case documents and prepare case evaluations

• Handle multiple matters with attention to deadlines and court requirements

Requirements:

• 3–6 years of experience

• Experience in civil litigation with an emphasis on toxic tort and/or professional liability defense strongly preferred

• Demonstrated ability to handle cases independently and work in a team

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex legal matters

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Illinois Bar (Required)

Skills:

• Excellent legal research and writing skills

• Strong oral advocacy and negotiation abilities

• Proficient in litigation software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Organized, self-motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
