Conduct comprehensive initial case evaluations, including client consultations and medical record reviews, to assess legal options and determine the best course of action.
File and manage various petitions on behalf of clients, ensuring thorough preparation and attention to legal details.
Handle proceedings before Workers' Compensation Judges throughout Pennsylvania, including the presentation of evidence and legal arguments.
Conduct depositions of medical experts and other witnesses, crafting persuasive case strategies grounded in expert testimony.
Provide ongoing legal counsel to clients throughout each stage of their case, maintaining transparent communication and compassionate guidance.
Draft well-reasoned legal briefs, particularly for cases pending judicial decisions, ensuring strong advocacy in written form.
Engage in settlement negotiations with opposing counsel, striving for favorable resolutions that meet clients' long-term needs and goals.
Juris Doctor (JD) degree awarded by an accredited law institution.
Admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania, with a license in good standing.
Minimum of three years of focused experience in workers' compensation law, specifically within Pennsylvania.
Prior representation of injured claimants is highly valued, though candidates with defense-side experience will also be considered.
Proficiency in Spanish is a plus, enhancing the firm’s ability to serve a diverse client base.
Tech-savvy approach with prior exposure to legal case management systems; familiarity with platforms like SmartAdvocate is advantageous.
Proven ability to handle a large volume of cases (100+), effectively managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to work occasional weekends as needed to meet client or court deadlines.
Juris Doctor (JD) from a recognized and accredited law school.
Active membership in the Pennsylvania State Bar.
