Mid-Level IP Litigation Associate

Job Overview:
A leading law firm is hiring a Mid-Level Associate Attorney to join its Intellectual Property (IP) Litigation Group in its New York City office. The ideal candidate will bring 3–4 years of patent litigation experience, with or without a technical background. Location:

• New York, NY

Duties:

• Handle all aspects of patent litigation

• Work collaboratively with partners and senior attorneys on complex IP cases

• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and briefs

• Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials

• Advise clients on case strategy and IP enforcement or defense

Requirements:

• 3–4 years of experience in patent litigation

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple litigation matters effectively

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and legal reasoning skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to practice law in New York or Washington, D.C. (must be in good standing)

Skills:

• Expertise in intellectual property and patent law

• Strong litigation experience (including drafting and oral advocacy)

• Ability to work independently and as part of a legal team

• Technical background is a plus but not required
