Job Overview:
A respected law firm based in Morris Plains, NJ, is seeking a mission-driven, bilingual Spanish-English attorney to support immigration-related legal services on a remote basis. Duties:

• Manage and handle immigration cases with a focus on VAWA matters

• Communicate with clients in English and Spanish, ensuring clarity and compassion

• Provide strategic legal advice and prepare relevant documentation

• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline case progress

• Respond to client inquiries and requests in a timely and respectful manner

• Participate in internal meetings and ongoing case reviews

• Apply creative problem-solving and sound judgment in complex legal scenarios

• Maintain thorough documentation using immigration case management software

• Ensure all work complies with ethical and professional standards

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience handling immigration law matters, specifically VAWA

• Licensed to practice law in the United States

• Fully fluent in Spanish and English (written and verbal)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Demonstrated commitment to protecting immigrant rights

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask

• Comfortable adapting to digital systems and workflows

• Demonstrated growth mindset and dedication to professional development

• Strong attention to detail and proactive follow-through

• NJ Bar membership is a plus

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction

• Additional certification in immigration law (optional but advantageous)

Skills:

• Bilingual fluency (Spanish-English)

• Familiarity with digital collaboration tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Slack, Monday.com)

• Experience with immigration case management platforms

• Exceptional client service and interpersonal skills

• Ability to prioritize tasks and handle urgent matters professionally

• Problem-solving orientation with a team-first attitude
