Job Overview:
A Los Angeles-based employment litigation firm is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join its in-person legal team. This position offers immediate and substantive litigation experience, including courtroom appearances, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation. Location:

• Los Angeles, CA

Duties:

• Manage employment law cases from intake through resolution

• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and trial-related documents

• Take and defend depositions

• Argue motions and make regular court appearances

• Develop case strategies and maintain direct client communication

• Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations

• Assist in trial preparation and serve as second chair during trial when applicable

Requirements:

• 1–5 years of civil litigation experience (employment law preferred)

• Ability to manage a full caseload independently while collaborating with a team

• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to high-quality client service

• Trial preparation experience is a plus

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active member in good standing with the California State Bar

Skills:

• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills

• Excellent time management and organizational abilities

• Proficiency in handling complex legal issues with autonomy

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients and legal teams
