A law firm in Newington, CT, is seeking an Associate Attorney to work on administrative matters, employment law, and personal injury cases in both state and federal court. The ideal candidate will handle trial preparation, depositions, discovery, and appellate work.

Job Duties:

• Handle administrative matters, including CHRO (Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities) and EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission) cases.
• Work on employment law and personal injury cases in both state and federal court.
• Assist with trial preparation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and trial briefs.
• Conduct depositions of witnesses and parties involved in cases.
• Manage discovery processes, including document requests and interrogatories.
• Assist with appellate work, including drafting appellate briefs and presenting oral arguments.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law in Connecticut.
• Experience in administrative law, employment law, and personal injury litigation preferred.
• Familiarity with state and federal court procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent research and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Admission to practice law in Connecticut.

Skills:

• Familiarity with administrative law procedures, CHRO, and EEOC cases.
