Job Overview:
A top-tier national law firm is seeking a mid-level associate to join its Corporate & Securities practice as part of a nationally recognized Healthcare Industry Team. This position focuses on complex corporate transactions in the healthcare sector, including mergers and acquisitions, healthcare-focused private equity and venture capital investments, and joint ventures. The role provides the opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys and high-profile clients spanning hospitals, provider systems, digital health companies, and investors. This is a strong opportunity for an attorney seeking to deepen their healthcare industry expertise while gaining substantive, hands-on transactional experience.
Location:
Duties:
Advise clients in the healthcare industry on M&A, private equity, and joint venture transactions
Draft and negotiate transaction documents, including purchase agreements, joint venture agreements, and equity arrangements
Guide clients through corporate structuring, formation, governance, and operational strategy
Coordinate with internal teams and external advisors on due diligence, deal execution, and regulatory considerations
Maintain direct client contact and assist in relationship development
Participate in firm-sponsored training and mentorship opportunities
Support business development and contribute to the continued growth of the healthcare transactional practice
Requirements:
3–5 years of relevant experience in mergers & acquisitions, private equity, and/or joint ventures
Prior experience working with healthcare clients or on healthcare-related transactions preferred
Ability to manage transactional matters with minimal supervision while working collaboratively with a team
Strong professional presence and communication skills for client and advisor interaction
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school
Strong academic performance required
Certifications:
Active license to practice law in the state corresponding to the selected office location
Member in good standing with the applicable state bar
Skills:
Excellent legal drafting, writing, and negotiation skills
Strong analytical and research capabilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
Familiarity with healthcare regulatory frameworks is a plus
