A law firm in Minneapolis, MN, is seeking a Patent Litigation Associate Attorney with a strong technical or scientific background. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of patent litigation experience and an active membership in the State Bar. This position requires superior writing skills, excellent academic credentials, and the ability to conduct complex and detailed legal analyses. The Patent Litigation Associate Attorney will work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment, communicating with a diverse group of clients, attorneys, and staff.

Duties:

• Conduct complex and detailed analyses of legal matters related to patent litigation.
• Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Represent clients in court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on patent litigation matters.
• Collaborate with a team of attorneys, clients, and staff on cases and projects.
• Communicate with clients and provide updates on case developments.
• Stay current with relevant laws and regulations in the field of patent litigation.

Requirements:

• 3-4 years of patent litigation experience.
• Active membership in the State Bar and compliance with CLE requirements.
• Strong technical or scientific background.
• Preference for candidates with advanced degrees in life sciences.
• For technical backgrounds, preference for degrees in electrical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, or closely related fields.
• Superior writing skills and excellent academic credentials.
• Strong analytical skills for complex legal analysis.
• Effective communication skills to interact with clients, attorneys, and staff.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Advanced degrees in life sciences are preferred for relevant candidates.
