E-Discovery Associate Attorney

Duties:
Draft and implement customized discovery protocols, protective orders, and governance policies
Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on evolving discovery-related issues
Apply modern analytical tools, including AI and next-generation review technologies, to litigation challenges
Oversee document review and data analysis workflows for responsiveness, privilege, and key issue tagging
Partner directly with client teams to advise on discovery planning and risk mitigation
Coordinate cross-functional teams on e-discovery strategy and execution for complex cases
Utilize platforms such as Relativity to manage data collection, culling, review, and production
Monitor case law developments and industry trends related to discovery and information law
Provide training and mentorship to junior attorneys or litigation support personnel
Requirements:
2-5 years of litigation experience with a demonstrated focus on discovery management
Previous involvement in negotiation and drafting of discovery motions and court filings
Strong written and oral advocacy skills
Familiarity with working closely with corporate clients, including legal and IT departments
Admission in good standing or eligibility for admission in South Carolina, North Carolina, or Tennessee
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school
Certifications:
Admission to a State Bar (SC, NC, or TN preferred)
Skills:
Expertise in litigation discovery, e-discovery processes, and related legal frameworks
Proficiency with discovery management platforms, preferably Relativity
Excellent research, drafting, and analytical skills
Strong client service mindset with the ability to convey complex issues clearly
Ability to lead and collaborate across legal, technical, and client teams
