Duties & Responsibilities:

• Client Intake & Initial Consultations:
  • Establish rapport and trust with clients, ensuring they feel heard and supported.
  • Document all pertinent facts related to liability, damages, and coverage.
  • Clearly outline the next steps and action items for both clients and the legal team.
• Investigation:
  • Lead thorough investigations to gather vital evidence and assess the full scope of each case.
  • Review insurance coverage and prepare for any necessary litigation or settlement negotiations.
• Negotiation & Settlement:
  • Strategically negotiate with adjusters to achieve the maximum settlement value for clients.
  • Prepare for trial when needed, ensuring cases are ready for court proceedings.
  • File lawsuits when necessary and guide clients through the litigation process with transparency and support.
• Litigation & Trial Prep:
  • Draft pleadings and discovery documents for lawsuits.
  • Coordinate trial preparation and strategize for mediation or arbitration when appropriate.
• Team Collaboration:
  • Review and sign off on team-drafted correspondence promptly.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure a smooth, efficient case progression.

Requirements:

• Ability to handle a high-volume caseload with exceptional attention to detail.
• Comfortable negotiating with insurance adjusters and representing clients in litigation.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build client relationships.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the state of Illinois.

Skills:

• Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Thorough understanding of personal injury law and legal procedures.
• Ability to manage a large caseload while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
