Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Overview:

A law firm based in Sacramento, CA is seeking a diligent and skilled Associate Attorney to manage a high-volume caseload in collection and litigation matters. The role demands strong analytical, written, and oral advocacy skills to handle various responsibilities, including litigation processes, motion drafting, and courtroom representation.

Duties:

• Oversee breach of contract and collection litigation from demand through judgment.
• Represent clients during court hearings (both telephonic and in-person).
• Draft, prepare, and argue Motions for Summary Judgment.
• Efficiently manage assigned cases to meet client expectations and firm goals.
• Address escalated or time-sensitive issues with professionalism.
• Participate in special projects and perform other relevant tasks as needed.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in California.
• Experience with the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA) and Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) is a plus.

Education:

• A Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited institution.

Certifications:

• Active admission to the State Bar of California.

Skills:

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency in legal research using a variety of sources.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and case management software.
• Strong organizational and time management capabilities for prioritizing large caseloads.
• Analytical and detail-oriented approach to solving problems.

• High level of professional ethics and commitment to deadlines.
