Location

Duties

• Represent clients in insurance defense litigation, with a focus on construction accident claims, labor disputes, and related contractual matters

• Handle cases involving NYS Labor Law 200, 240, and 241, premises liability, and general liability

• Manage cases from inception to resolution, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, court appearances, and trial preparation

• Communicate regularly and effectively with clients and insurance carriers

• Make court appearances in Westchester, Nassau, Suffolk, and all NYC boroughs

• Draft legal reports, provide case evaluations, and engage in settlement negotiations

Requirements

• 1–5 years of experience in litigation and/or insurance defense

• Strong knowledge of New York Labor Law and construction litigation

• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and meet court and client deadlines

• Commitment to high-quality legal service and teamwork

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar (required)

• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills

• Strong negotiation and litigation strategy abilities

• Detail-oriented with effective case management and organizational skills

• Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a team setting

• Junior Salary Range: $85,000 – $135,000 (based on experience)

• Senior Salary Range: $120,000 – $200,000 (based on experience)
