International Tax Associate - Summer 2023

The candidate will be responsible for utilizing tax research skills to provide international tax advice and working with tax software applications to assist clients with tax reporting obligations for international operations. Should have a Bachelor's degree. Accounting or other business related major is preferred. JD, LLM, and/or MST/MBT is also preferred. CPA certification, attorney (admitted to practice in a US jurisdiction), or Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent (EA) (or the equivalent of one of these designations) is desired. Internship within a professional services firm an asset. Tax experience a plus. Experience utilizing RIA, BNA, Lexis Nexis and/or Westlaw ideal. Should be proficient in the use of MS Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Basic understanding of the technical and practical issues and opportunities regarding one or more areas of taxation and law is needed. Should have basic knowledge and understanding of general calculations and cause/effect for taxable conditions on clients and the potential tax issues. Strong legal writing background and familiarity with the IRAC method of analysis is essential. Must have in-depth understanding of the technical and practical issues and opportunities regarding one or more areas of taxation.
