A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney for its Jamaica, NY office. The ideal candidate will be admitted to the New York bar with 1-3 years of experience, focusing on divorce, family law, criminal defense, and immigration cases. Duties

• Prepare pleadings, motions, and briefs as needed.
• Appear in various courts, both in person and virtually.
• Direct cases through the litigation cycle and develop cost-effective strategies.
• Manage a large volume of cases and work directly with clients.
• Organize and track case status and manage attorney court appearances.

Requirements

• Admission to the New York State bar; Connecticut and New Jersey bars are a plus.
• 1-3 years of relevant legal experience.
• Fluency in Spanish is a major plus.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Teams/Zoom.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State bar.
