Steve Fredrickson Fellowship
The Fellowship will fund a summer internship for a law student who has demonstrated commitment to redressing the housing and/or consumer rights of the poor. The Fellowship will support innovative advocacy projects to effectively address the housing/consumer needs of low-income persons in Washington. Any law student who will have completed at least the first year of law school as of June, 2020, will be considered. Should have strong communication, research and analytical skills, including excellent writing ability; a demonstrated commitment to social justice advocacy, with specific interest in work that addresses the fulfillment of basic human needs; cultural competence and appreciation for diversity and inclusion, racial equity and access to justice. Fluency in Spanish is helpful in all positions and may be required for specific positions.
Stipend: $6000 for 10 weeks
