Location:

• Los Angeles, CA

Duties:

• Manage a caseload of employment law matters from intake through resolution

• Draft complaints, discovery requests/responses, motions, and legal briefs

• Conduct legal research and strategy development

• Take and defend depositions

• Represent clients at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings

• Advise clients on legal rights, risks, and potential case outcomes

• Collaborate with team members and partners to develop case strategies

• Participate as second or third chair in jury trials and arbitrations

Requirements:

• 1–3 years of employment litigation experience

• Strong knowledge of California employment laws and state/federal civil procedure

• Experience handling wrongful termination and sexual harassment matters

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines

• High attention to detail and strong case organization skills

• Ability to work independently and within a team structure

• Commitment to advocacy, empathy, and achieving justice for employees

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar

Skills:

• Legal writing and analysis

• Oral advocacy and courtroom presence

• Client counseling and communication

• Discovery practice and deposition handling

• Case and time management

• Proficiency with legal research platforms and case management software

• Collaborative mindset with a proactive, solution-driven approach

Preferred Attributes:

• Trial or arbitration experience (second or third chair)
