A law firm seeks a passionate and dedicated Litigation Associate to join its dynamic Employment Law Department in Winter Park, FL. This position offers the opportunity to represent clients in matters such as wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and unpaid wages. Duties

• Draft legal pleadings, motions, and other necessary documentation for employment law cases.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials, providing full litigation support.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Screen potential cases to determine viability and potential for success.
• Generate new cases through outreach, marketing, and networking efforts.
• Manage a caseload effectively, ensuring deadlines and client expectations are met.
• Maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail in all tasks.
• Learn quickly and adapt to evolving legal challenges in employment law.
• Always represent the firm with professionalism, ensuring a positive image in all interactions.

Requirements

• Strong passion for employment law and advocating for employees' rights.
• Proven litigation experience, with a focus on employment law or similar fields.
• Exceptional negotiation skills with a track record of successful settlements.
• Ability to manage a busy caseload and meet tight deadlines.
• Aggressive, goal-oriented approach with a drive to succeed in the legal field.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage clients and colleagues alike.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to practice law in the state of Florida.
