The successful candidate will serve as City Attorney and City Prosecutor, offering legal advice, drafting documents, and attending government meetings.

Duties

• Provide legal advice and counsel on municipal law matters.
• Draft legal documents and conduct legal research.
• Attend government meetings, often in the evenings.
• Assist in occasional litigation matters.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of municipal law experience required; 5-7 years preferred.
• Current licensure in Missouri required; Kansas licensure a plus.
• Knowledge of state and local government law, land use law, and administrative law.
• Familiarity with Robert's Rules of Order and Missouri Sunshine Law.
• Ability to travel locally.

Education

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited university.

Certifications

• Missouri Bar License required.
