Senior Counsel, Employment Law - EEO Charge Manager

The candidate will be responsible for representing the US Personal Banking & Wealth Management, Operations and Technology, Institutional Clients Group and Global Functions businesses in all phases of the EEO Charge process, including investigation of claims, drafting position statements and other submissions to a variety of EEO state and federal agencies and the DOL, participating in fact-finding procedures, and where appropriate negotiating resolutions either before or during any conciliation efforts, and developing good working relationships with agency investigators and other personnel. Working closely with the lawyers on the team and report to a Director, Associate General Counsel in the Global Employment Law Center of Excellence. Will be responsible for internal reporting on the EEO charges, and for developing and training Human Resources on a variety of topics. Managing a small portfolio of litigations/arbitrations, assist Associate General Counsels with their litigation/arbitration dockets, and provide advice and counsel to business partners. Functioning as the subject matter expert on new state and federal employment laws that may impact the firm's workplace and works on a team to implement any changes that may be needed. J.D. degree, Bar Admission is required. Should have 4+ years of professional experience in employment law. Experience with financial institutions is a plus.
