This role requires a Chemistry degree and USPTO Registration to ensure successful patent application processes and client representation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Draft and file patent applications with the USPTO, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
• Conduct prior art searches and analyze results to support patentability assessments.
• Prepare and prosecute patent applications, including responding to office actions and communicating with patent examiners.
• Advise clients on patent strategies, including patentability, freedom-to-operate, and infringement issues.
• Assist with patent portfolio management and strategic planning for clients.
• Collaborate with clients to gather technical information and ensure accurate representation of inventions.
• Monitor industry trends and developments to provide informed recommendations to clients.
• Represent clients in correspondence with the USPTO and other relevant patent authorities.
• Provide support for patent litigation and enforcement actions as needed.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience with patent prosecution and intellectual property law.
• Strong persuasive communication abilities for adequate client interaction and USPTO correspondence.
• In-depth understanding of chemical engineering principles and patent processes.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or a closely related field is required.

Certifications:

• USPTO Registration is required.
