Duties

• Manage all phases of consumer litigation, including drafting complaints, answers, motions, and discovery requests.
• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on substantive consumer law issues.
• Prepare for and attend depositions, mediations, arbitration hearings, and trials.
• Advise clients on case strategy, risk assessment, and settlement negotiations.
• Collaborate with partners, associates, and support staff to achieve case objectives.
• Maintain accurate case files and ensure compliance with court rules and firm policies.

Requirements

• 5 years of civil litigation experience, focusing on consumer-related matters.
• Active license to practice law in New York State.
• Proven trial experience, including motion practice and courtroom appearances.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral communication and client counseling abilities.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and meet critical deadlines.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar.

• Expertise in Westlaw, LexisNexis, and electronic court filing systems.
• Proficiency in drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
