A law firm seeks a skilled Family and Marital Law Associate Attorney in Boca Raton, Florida. This role involves managing cases from intake through resolution, working closely with clients, senior attorneys, and opposing counsel.

Duties

  • Manage family law cases from start to finish, including client intake and drafting pleadings.
  • Draft Marital Settlement Agreements, Parenting Plans, and Prenuptial/Postnuptial Agreements.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and opposing counsel.
  • Attend mediations, client meetings, and court proceedings.
  • Act as a scribe during Collaborative Process meetings.
  • Assist in drafting presentations and represent the firm at networking events.
  • Utilize Clio, Family Law Software, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Track billable time accurately and consistently.
  • Participate in marketing and outreach efforts.
  • Take initiative in managing tasks and solving problems.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the Florida Bar (New York Bar a plus).
  • 2-4 years of experience practicing family law; litigation experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Clio, Family Law Software, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent legal writing, research, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage complex tasks.
  • Experience drafting client-facing documents and technical writing.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines efficiently.

Education

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the Florida Bar (New York Bar a plus).
